DocMus Department for Music Performance and Research
The DocMus Department offers doctoral study in music performance and research. The Department was established in 1999 to continue the work of the former doctoral study line of the Soloistic Department.
DocMus provides doctoral study in the main subjects of the departments of Orchestral Instruments, Piano, and Vocal Music.
Approximately 70 students are enrolled in the DocMus Department . Two-thirds of the students are enrolled in the Art Study Programme, one-third in the Research and Development Study Programmes.
Applications for a Full Time Doctoral Student (after the preliminary year): DocMus provides doctoral study in the main subjects of the departments of Orchestral Instruments, Piano, and Vocal Music.

The applications with the study plan should be addressed to the Sibelius Academy Academic Council and admitted at the T-house Service Center, address Töölönkatu 28, 2nd floor (open from noon to 3 pm, Monday to Friday) at the latest on 25.2.2011.
